Follow our simple step by step to make a beautiful cupcake bouquet.
You will need:
- A 14″ square cake board
- 7 cupcakes
- Buttercream appx 300g
- Sugarpaste appx 500g to cover board
- Edge embosser (or a shape cutter)
- Coloured sugarpaste for bow and foliage Magiculata garden green and bazooka pink.
- Large open or closed star tip
- Piping bag
- Small paintbrush
- Bazooka Pink Pro gel
- Cutters for letters and decoration
Cover the board with coloured sugarpaste – we used Magic Colours lemon Pro gel, (just 2 drops for 500g of sugarpaste is plenty!) Then emboss your pattern around the edge. You could use a crimper or shape cutter just as successfully.
Colour your buttercream with one drop of Bazooka pink, insert your tip into your piping bag and paint a stripe inside the bag with another drop of bazooka pink. Fill you bag and begin piping in the centre of your cupcake, then gradually swirl out to the edge and taper off to finish.
Arrange the cupcakes onto the board in the top corner and stick them down with a dot of buttercream
Cut out 12 leaves and push 2 into the buttercream of each outside cupcake. Roll out 5 long sausages of green for the stems, taper the ends and stick them down with a damp brush.
Roll out some Bazooka pink Magiculata and cut out 2 triangles 10cm long. Add some lines with the back of a knife and attach around an inch down the stems.
Cut into a rectangle 20cm x 6cm then taper the ends. Dampen and stick the tapered ends down. Turn over and pinch the centre then fold the edges down and pinch together, puff out the loops and place onto the ribbons. Add your message and decoration to the board to finish.
